One of London’s latest renovated hotels that you NEED to try for a special trip away…
(AD – PR STAY)
Hey my friends,
So as you may have read about what I did on my pre-Birthday night in my last blog post, here’s everything about my special stay at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah on my actual Birthday!
We had the pleasure of being invited to stay in their Junior Suite, which was so spacious, beautifully decorated and so many thoughtful touches scattered throughout the room to celebrate my 26th Birthday.
The Carlton Tower Jumeirah was actually renovated and re-opened in December, totally reinvented to have that modern yet classic London feel, right in the heart of Knightsbridge – so the location was perfect to be within all of the gorgeous spots that London has to offer within a short walk away. Firstly, one of the first things I was besotted with when I stepped into the room was the incredible VIEW. Just wow! You could literally see so much of the London skyline, and you really appreciate this when many London hotels are quite low in storeys, the view from this tower style hotel room, really was a highlight feature as it’s not actually very common to be able to experience this view from quite a lot of hotels in the city. So if views are your thing, this is definitely something I really loved waking up to here.
I’d really like to highlight just how attentive and wonderful the staff were, they really went above and beyond from the first moment right until we checked out, from having balloons put in the room, even a ton above the bed and pink twenty six balloons and personalised slippers by the bed, it was honestly the kind of hotel experience you can only dream of on your Birthday. Even the key card for the room was personalised with my initials – the attention to detail was just so magical and a lovely surprise.
I’ve also got to mention there was the most delicious cheesecake waiting for me in the room as a little Birthday cake treat and it was SO tasty – definitely order it if you’re staying, because it’s to die for.
As you may know from my vlogs, I don’t know why but I’ve always said I just love hanging out in my bathroom at home. And when the bathroom is as gorgeous as the marble tiled one at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah, with Aromatherapy Associates toiletries to help yourself to.
In the afternoon of course, we had to check out The Spa at the hotel, which had a huge pool, was really spacious so you didn’t feel like you were invading anyone else’s relaxing time and had this huge glass roof above the pool which I can imagine on a bright and sunny day would be so lovely to enjoy and go for a swim.
I also wanted to mention about their private members club too, which was such a really exclusive feel area in the hotel, called The Peak Club, where it had, again, amazing city views and was a perfect place in the evening to retreat to, or in the daytime, like I did, be able to do some work in a really calming and private space during your stay. So even if you’re travelling for work, if you need to find some space to just do some emails, or work elsewhere outside of your room, this is really lovely to have within the hotel.
Of course, I did also check out their Gym during my stay, which was SO well equipped and had PT’s on hand too if you needed them.
On the evening of my Birthday, we had a reservation and the incredible and renowned Al Mare restaurant at the hotel, which was Italian cuisine and oh my goodness, all of the dishes we ordered were just perfection. Al Mare also have the best sommeliers in the country, so they advised on wine pairings for every dish that we ordered, along with again, every member of staff being so warm and welcoming.
We ordered the Tagliolini al limone con Tartare di Gamberi Rossi, along with the Risotto al Pecorino and of course some other dishes too! All of it was so delicious, fresh and you could totally taste how high-quality all of the ingredients were. Check out their menu, here!
After dinner, when we got back to the room, there was again such a lovely gift when we got back, of a selection of their spa products on the bed, including face masks and some other goodies, which was such a lovely treat to finish off the evening before bed.
The next morning we decided to go downstairs to have breakfast and you all know what a ‘crossiant connoisseur’ I’ve become and the pastries, were 10/10! They have a renowned pastry chef at the hotel and for the breakfast alone, I will definitely be back in future! I’d love to stay again, but even if I come back just for breakfast, this will definitely be happy!
So if you’re ever in London and want to experience great Italian food and a special dining experience, along with of course a hugely memorable and special hotel stay, I would totally recommend to add this to your bucket list!
