If you’ve been following along with my renovation journey so far, you’ll know that I’m IN! At the start of October I moved into my dream, forever home and now I’m well into the stages of unpacking, finalising some small snagging issues around the house and unboxing all of those fun household items that are a big deal when it comes to maintaining home life.
When deciding what appliances I wanted to choose for my home, I of course wanted ones that were sleek, the latest innovations in technology so they’d be up to date for years to come, but also, innovative in that they all work together. As you know, I’m quite passionate when it comes to innovative tech, that ‘just makes sense’.
At my parents house, they had the Samsung washing machine and tumble drier and I loved how forward thinking it was, that it would even sync up with your TV, to notify you when the washing was done. Giving a real sense of continuity and harmony among the appliances within the house.
This led me to decide Samsung had to be my go-to when deciding where to head for picking out everything from my washing appliances, vacuum and dishwasher. I wanted to create a ‘Samsung world’ essentially within my home, where everything worked together and was from the same brand, and that’s essentially what I’ve been able to achieve with the vast range of home appliances they offer.. some of which I didn’t know existed before looking into it! And I can safely say I have NO regrets!
Samsung Dishwasher
Choosing my dishwasher was actually something that needed to be chosen carefully and was a bit more limited in the options I had. I really wanted the full ‘Samsung’ world within my home, so finding the perfect Samsung dishwasher, which also was the right size for my Devol kitchen design, was a bit of a tricky task in terms of dimensions. Luckily, the Samsung Series 6 Integrated Dishwasher was not only the perfect fit, but had all the features to suit my lifestyle and preferences.
Some of its stand-out features are the ‘Aqua Stop’, a safety function that prevents accidental water leaks (which is so great for peace of mind, especially in my newly renovated kitchen!) If it detects that the water hose is broken or working incorrectly then it automatically shuts off the supply to stop any damage to your home. It also has flexible interior space, so that you can adjust the heights and fold down the tines to fit wide platters and taller pots / pans etc. There’s also a function called ‘Hygienic Rinsing’, which is also super innovative, as it’s an extra hot cycle to zap away germ, perfect for chopping boards you may have been cutting meat on for example, or if you’d want to sanitise the likes of baby bottles and even toys. There’s also the function to dry everything after the cycle has finished, showing how this dishwasher will really do everything for me.

Samsung Bespoke Jet AI Vacuum
I was quite open to being introduced to new suggestions when it came to choosing the right vacuum, so when I heard Samsung also did their Bespoke Jet AI Vacuum, it made total sense as not only does it seem like the best choice on the market in terms of technology and innovation (in my opinion!), it also fitted into having a full selection of Samsung home products. There’s SO much this vacuum can do, I’m still shocked at another new feature every time I use it!
One of the most important ones for me, was that it traps 99.999%* of dust, reduces exposure to pet allergens massively, and has a ‘Multi-layered Filtration system’. The Jet Cyclone and micro filter catch fine dust and a fine dust filter traps micro dust, meaning when I vacuum my home, I know it’s virtually picked up everything, even the dust or allergens I can’t see.
I also really love how easy it is to empty and charge the vacuum. It has an ‘All-in-one Cleaning Station’ which empties the dustbin of dirt and pet hair using “Air Pulse” technology, while recharging the battery. It traps 99.999% of fine dust and has an anti-bacterial dust bag, which inhibits 99.9% of bacterial growth. The last thing you want after cleaning your home, is a messy experience when then emptying that same waste afterwards or breathing it in.
Not only does it vacuum, but it also comes with a with a Spray Spinning Sweeper that you can attach to the end. You’re provided with microfibre and wet floor pads, meaning it also allows you to clean hard floors easily, with a really professional finish.
It’s also super lightweight, reducing the strain on your wrist, along with two batteries, allowing up to 120 minutes run time, which is more than enough to clean your whole home with ease. There’s also a Pet Tool brush that’s optimised for picking up pet hairs that are thin and easy to miss, or doesn’t always get picked up with other vacuum brands equivalent version of this tool. Perfect for when Cody moves in!

Samsung Washing Machine
Out of all the appliances I picked out, I think I always knew my washing machine / tumble drier choices were going to be Samsung ones. As I said above, my parents have them and have always had a great experience using these and of course are some of the hardest working appliances you’ll choose for your home.
I love how not only do they fit into the Samsung world, such as letting me know on my Samsung TV when the washing is done, but they also come with the ‘SmartThings’ app, where my dishwasher can also be synced up to, so you can put them on to ‘start’ whilst you’re not in the house for example, to time it that they’re done for when you get home.

Samsung Tumble Drier
Of course, to pair with my washing machine, I wanted a cohesive duo that work in harmony together in terms of features, settings and model styles. So choosing the Series 9 9kg Heatpump Tumble Drier with OptimalDry was the perfect choice from Samsung.
With 9kg capacity, A+++ energy rating and Heat Pump Technology, it’s the way forward for drying laundry more efficiently. I was explained that it works by heating the air already in the drum, so it’s gentle enough to use on even super delicate items. Whilst also using much less electricity compared to a traditional condenser or vented tumble dryer, being more eco-friendly and cost efficient! Smart technology uses moisture and temperature sensors to adjust the drying time too, which protects my clothes from damage, as well as energy-saving.
It’s also compatible with the Samsung SmartThings app, so it’s super handy to know when it’s done or choosing when I put it on. It even has a reversible door option, so you can choose which way it opens, making it even more compatible with the space it will be in. It also has a ‘silent dry’ option, making it SUPER quiet and allows me to do a wash, any time of day.
There’s also such a thing as ‘Air Wash’ – which allows me to pop in a shirt or outfit that may have been gathering dust in the wardrobe. You put it straight into the dryer, then a hot, yet gentle air cycle, gets to work deodorising and sanitising. Leaving clothes feeling and smelling like they’re just back from the cleaners. INCREDIBLE!
Optimal Dry™

I’m so impressed with all of the innovative functions of my appliances I’ve chosen, I think for a long time I will continue to be amazed by the different functions I’ve not yet tried out or needed to use, EVERYTHING has been thought out, washing queries solved and made more efficient, eco-friendly and saving time for someone like me who is always on the go.
