So,
I received Glamour Magazines ‘The Summer Beauty Edit’ box in the post the other day as a late birthday present from my Auntie. I’ve never had one of these type of boxes before so I thought i’d share the contents with you.
The box is presented fantastically and I love the fact you get a leaflet with a description of all the products especially as there are pictures so there’s no trying to guess which is which!
Product1- Magnifibres Brush-On False Lashes.
I cannot wait to try these out! It’s something that i’ve wanted to try forever but I could never justify spending the money as I wasn’t sure if they’d actually work. I’ll be sure to let you know my opinion once i’ve tried them.
Product2- Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan BB Skin Perfecter.
As I said in my haul video, i’ve seen numerous people using this and I was keen to give it a go. The only thing that is slightly confusing me is the fact it’s called ‘sun shimmer’ yet claims to be a matte formula.
Product3- DHC Deep Cleansing Oil.
So this product claims to unclog pores and get rid of dirt and grime as well as containing vitamin E and olive oil. I’ve tried this once and it doesn’t seem to be the miracle mascara removing product it claims to be, nevertheless I enjoyed using it.
Product4- Crabtree and Evelyn Nail Lacquer.
I know for a fact there was the chance of getting a Red, like me, or a pink (wish i’d got the pink waaaa) despite the colour this non-toxic nail varnish seems really high quality. I will most definitely be putting it to the chipping test.
Product5- Hawaiian Tropic Satin Protection Ultra Radiance Sun Lotion SPF30
I can’t say i’ve ever been excited about suncream but this one will most definitely be thrown into my bag throughout the summer.
Product6- Bourjois Cream Blush.
There was no way I COULDN’T try this one out. I’ve been slightly obsessed with glowy skin paired with cream blush. This is so cute, it gives a really nice velvety finish and also works really well on the lips. The colour is a light wash of peach, definitely not too intense.
Product7- Toni & Guy Volume Plumping Whip.
That is the hardest name to say!! Anyway, i’m a bit of a newb to anything hair related so i’m definitely going to have to do some googling before I use this one. It looks pretty exciting though. Who doesn’t want silky smooth AND volumized hair?!
Product8- Velveotan The Original Tanning Mitt.
I kinda screamed a little inside when i saw this. Number 1- it’s pink! Number 2- I’ve been using a sock to apply my fake tan for the past 6 months! (I CLEAN IT, I promise). This mitt feels amazing. It’s so soft and feels pretty study, which is a nice change considering most mitts feel like they’re going to fall apart.
Product9- Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick.
The dream product. After trying this I can’t fault the formula it applied brilliantly, looked even and lasted pretty well. Although, the colour was majorly disappointing. I received the colour buff and it was waaayyyy too brown to be wearable. Definitely going to have to use minimal product and throw a neutrally pink gloss over the top. However there are so many lovely colours in this particular collection which i’m keen to try out.
All that for £16.95, not bad! I absolutely adore trying out new products so this box was a little ball of excitement for me. I really hope you enjoyed this post.
Until Next Time,
M. Xx
